BRIEFING, CONCEPT, TECHNICAL DESIGN & PLANNING PROCESS
Step 1. Consultation & Brief
The consultation will consist of a free visit to your property or premises where we will be able to discuss your ideas and suggest some further input to realise your vision for the project and formulate a brief. We will also discuss whether the ideas would be feasible or achievable on a Planning / Building Regulation front.
Step 3. Site Survey
This survey will usually be carried out by MAK depending on the size of the project or an external Surveying firm to survey the site which will provide the information to work from to enable the production of the drawing information.
Step 5. Finalised Designs Consultation
We will finalise the 2D drawings (3D drawings upon request) and get the pack prepared depending on the stage of the project which is either a Planning Pack, Building Regulations Pack or Interior Design scheme. Internal Design Schemes may require no external changes which may not require planning but a building regulations submission only.
Step 2. Quotation
We will provide a detailed quote which will aim to frame the requirements of the project.
Step 4. Initial Concept Designs
We will prepare existing plans and create a set of concept (draft plans) to be discussed in person or a team's call which will communicate the ideas discussed at step.1 and review the credentials of the scheme in terms of design, planning and building regulations.
Following the finalising of the design, we will submit the drawings to the Local Planning Authority and keep you updated of the process.
Step 6. Planning Application Submission
Step 7. Technical Design
Following the approval of the Planning Application we will prepare the Technical Package to be submitted to the Building Control Body whether Private or through the Local Authority.
Step 8. Construction
Following the submission of the Technical Package to the Building Control Body, we will offer informal assistance or guidance as required. We are also happy to assist with meetings with Builders or other Construction Teams to enable progression of a development.
